Fitzgerald Biosphere Group and the Bremer Bay Trails Committee together with the Shire of Jerramungup are preparing an update of the Master Plan for trails in the Bremer Bay area, and invites your input.
The planning process is funded by The Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund. The Bremer Bay Trails Committee are the steering group for the plan, and local Landscape Ecologist Nathan McQuoid is preparing the plan. The planning process is being undertaken during July to October 2022.
The Trail Master Plan will address completing the next stage of the existing Cycle and Shared Path (Snail Trail) network, and look ahead to scope trail priorities in the broader Bremer Bay area, which will enhance the experiences of all who love Bremer Bay.
For the planning process, the Bremer Bay area includes Point Henry Peninsula, Wellstead Estuary, Bremer and Back Beach, and Dillon Bay, as well as look ahead and further afield to Cape Knob and the Pallinup Estuary in the west, Hunter River and The Doubtfuls - Hood Point area in the east, and the Bremer River corridor in the north.
Your input into the development of the Master Plan is welcome and important. Guiding questions have been designed to help build a foundation and direction for the trails the plan considers, based on people’s existing and desired nature-based experiences or concerns. Your responses will also help guide further consultation on planning and trail detail.
Responses are best made via Survey Monkey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RQQZXD7 or by scanning the QR Code below.
The survey closes on September 9 and responses can be anonymous. If you have any questions contact Nathan McQuoid at nathanm@westnet.com.au or on 0439 936 591.
Thank you for your valued input.
