Prior History.

Over the past 8 months, the Shire of Jerramungup together with the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, a local steering committee, Aurora Environmental and  MP Rodgers and Associates has been busy reviewing the Shire’s Coastal Management Plan 2005.

The existing Plan has been reviewed with the aim of providing suitable and practical recommendations on the management of the Shire’s coast and will guide management and project decisions in this area for the next 10 years.

A DRAFT Coastal Management Plan has been prepared and is currently being advertised for public comment between 4 December 2017 and close of business on 25 January 2018.

The complete draft documents are available at the Shire offices in either Jerramungup or Bremer Bay or for download;

You can also speak with Shire Officers about the Plan.

Now, this is your chance to get involved in this project once more! Help us develop a management strategy that is important to our community and any users of our coast and will guide future actions and implementation by coastal managers and key stakeholders over the next 10 years.

How you can get involved? It is as simple as:

  • Download this form to make a formal submission and return via email to development@jerramungup.wa.gov.au or drop it in to one of the Shire offices in Bremer Bay or Jerramungup,
  • Participate in this short survey on priority areas and actions, or
  • Visit the Shire of Jerramungup's Coastal Management Plan display at either the Bremer Bay Christmas Markets on Saturday 16th December 2017 or the Bremer Bay Markets on Saturday 13th January 2018.
