Bremer Bay Airfield Master Plan 2015

In June 2015 the Shire of Jerramungup commissioned Slavin Architects to develop and design a Master Plan for the Bremer Bay Airfield. The Master Plan seeks to guide any future development of the Bremer Bay Airfield.

The final version of the Master Plan was received and adopted by Council at the November 2015 Council Meeting.

Since the adoption of the master Plan in 2015 a number of projects have been completed, guided by this Master Plan:

  • Construction of a new water bomber turnaround and emergency services amenities room; and
  • Detailed design and quantity surveying of a new cross runway to assist in making the airfield accessible in all weather conditions for tourism and emergency service providers (particularly RFDS and water bombers).  As a major undertaking the Shire of Jerramungup will be seeking Federal and State government assistance in the coming years.
